What do Fair O/U and the symbols mean?

Best price — the highest odds on that side of the line among the bookmakers you have on the table. It moves when you add or remove a book.

Payout — the return percentage implied by both sides of the same line. It uses the best available price on each side among the selected bookmakers. A dash means a price is missing on one side.

Fair O/U — the odds our model implies for the over and the under, before any bookmaker margin. Switch the odds format to Implied to read them as probabilities. These are our own numbers, not a bookmaker's price.

Value — the bookmaker’s price is longer than our fair price. The figure under it is the expected return at that price if our projection is right: price ÷ fair − 1. Shading deepens at 3%, 6% and 10%. It is measured against the price you see, so it updates with the odds. We mark every bookmaker on every line, including the alternative lines inside each row. Hover a marked price for the numbers behind it.

Tentative value — the same shading under a white hatch: the gap is real, but the price rests on something we could not check yet — a lineup or starter that is only projected, too few games to judge the player, or a changed role. Open the player's flag for the reason.

Flags sit beside a player's name; tap one to see why. A red flag means we do not price him: our model and the market's own probability are 12 points or more apart, so we hold the price until we know which is right, the Fair column reads Not priced and no value is marked. Early in the season that is usually on us — the model still counts preseason games. An amber ⚑ — limited data, a new team, a power-play or penalty-kill change, a big shift in ice time — keeps his value tentative. i is worth knowing but changes nothing, like a move up or down a line. A price more than 25% above our fair odds is left unmarked: that is far more often a stale quote or a different line than real value. Team shot totals are flagged early in the season, until both teams have ten games.

Confirmed — the team has confirmed this lineup, or the goalie is confirmed as the starter. Projected — the expected lineup only, which can still change before puck drop.

Fair odds are shown in both lineup states. A ○ row means the lineup is still projected and can change before puck drop — check the lineup before you act on it. Saves, player shots on goal and team and total shots are priced. These are model-derived odds for you to judge, not tips.
